These are my models for open-source space games such as Vega Strike and Privateer Gemini Gold.

I give permission for any game mod/FM author to use the object files on this page for nonprofit use, or to post these object models on their web site for nonprofit use.  All I require is that you credit me.

New Detroit landing pad background (in progress)
Cargo image "Black Market Organs" for Vega Strike.  The unit has built-in life support, and the seedy backdrop provides the setting.

Cargo image "Artificial Organs" for Vega Strike.  Same as the black market organs above, but the backdrop is a cheery medical station.

Just for fun:  "highborn" skin for Vega Strike "Lancelot" fighter.  Basically it is the standard Lancelot (including the texture misalignments which I hope to eventually fix) in different colors and graphics.  As with the others, this is a skin overlay for the existing texture but I am working to replace all the textures.  The larger-size view can be seen in the page background.

Just for fun:  "space camoflague" skin for Vega Strike "Gawain" fighter.  I threw this together over a few evenings, during breaks from working on the video below.  This is a skin overlay for the existing texture.  Because VS 0.5 uses DDS formats, the skin required conversion to DDS (which I have been unable to do thus far).

Fed 07-Oct 08:  Outro Video for Privateer Gemini Gold.

The top right image is a full-size shot from the original game video, while the lower right image is a cropped half-scale shot from my Privateer "outro" movie.  Click the picture to see it full size.

The textures are my creation, as is the derelict model.  The other models are from the original game, which were recently released to the public.

The full video and derelict model will be released in the next version of PGG.

King Cobra paint job for the Centurion Fighter, for the Privateer Universe.  This is a fun modification to the standard ship skin, with bronze scales, the classic cobra "hood" pattern on the wings, and a shake mouth for the nose.

Now that I have figured out the UV mapping of the ship skin, it would be easy to adjust the skin for other designs..

Planet Express skin for the Centurion Fighter, for the Privateer Universe.  This is a fun modification to the standard ship skin.

Robot Servants, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Software, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Food dispensers, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Gems, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Books, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Shield regenerator, a ship upgrade for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.  This was the strangest one yet in terms of figuring out what the original art is supposed to represent, especially the pipes.

Thrust Enhancer, a ship upgrade for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Speed Enhancer, a ship upgrade for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Isometal, a ship upgrade for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Mining equipment, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.

Wood, a trade commodity for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.  Not very exciting, but it's still cargo that can make a profit.

Advanced repair droid, a ship upgrade, for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.  It works twice as fast due to two more arms and advanced AI.  The original game is shown below for comparison.

Repair droid, a ship upgrade, for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.  As with the others, I show the original below and my version to the right.

Fusion cannon, a weapons upgrade, for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.  This was an interesting one to do because the original game (ca 1993) artwork, below, is so low-resolution that I found myself asking, "What is that supposed to be?" for a lot of details.

Afterburner, a vital ship upgrade, for the Privateer Gemini Gold project.  The original low-resolution artwork is shown below for comparison.

Tungsten and iron models for the Privateer Gemini Gold project, used to create images for trade commodities.  These were relatively easy models to make.
